Author/Director Gilles Cayatte
Producer The Factory Productions
Country France
Length 52'
Year 2008

On the 1st February 2003, just 16 minutes before it was due to land, the Space Shuttle Columbia blew up over Texas killing all seven astronauts aboard.
With the witnesses and parties involved at the time, this documentary gives us a new outlook on the circumstances of the tragedy that directly cast doubt upon NASA’s organisation.
Gilles Cayatte sifts through the technical reasons behind the accident and links them with the political and economical management of the American space shuttle programme: twenty years of meandering, technical and financial compromises, which led to this tragedy.
